MOTORBIKES, THE DAMNED AND PUSSY GALORE!!

After spending 3 days in my sick bed last week on Friday I trotted off to London town to perform at "Pussy Galore"  two dinner shows at Volupte! I love performing at this show and it always has FAB line ups! Friday's line up included Cherry Shakewell, Gracie, Will Davis and Craig The Incredible Hula Boy!

On Saturday I met my pal Vicky Butterfly for brunch at my favorite diner in London "All Star Bowling Lanes" Brock Lane. It was great to have a girlie catch up!

I then dashed across to Camden to see my Man and my pals The Damned play The Roundhouse for their 35th Anniversary tour! (Dave is the Damned's Drum Tech!). I had a great view from the VIP balcony and I liked the venue allot! It was great to see everyone and spend some time with Dave as I do miss him terribly when he is on tour!

After a late night with The Damned I had to catch a train at 8am on Sunday to get to the "Classic Motor Show" at the NEC in Birmingham! I was a promoting the AJS & Matchless 2012 Club Calender in which I feature (alongside Vicky Butterfly). My fellow promo gal for the day was the lovely Sherry Trifle! We had a fun day wandering around the event looking at (& sitting on) classic Cars and bikes! We also got to draw the raffle which had an amazing classic Matchless motorbike as the prize! I was also delighted to feature in two larger than life promo posters on the stand!

A fun filled weekend but boy was I knackered today! It was also Remembrance weekend and I wore my poppy with pride and thought about the fallen who fought for our country. I also thought about my Grandad (WWII) and Great Grandad (WWI) who both served for our country.

I also found this blog by Kitten Von Mew a very interesting read about people cashing in on Poppys: http://ww2-vintage-pinup-girl.com/2011/11/11/remembrance-day-poppy-appeal/

THE DOMESTIC BURLESQUE BOOK

The AMAZING "Domestic Burlesque" coffee table photography book by Elsa Quarsell was released last Thursday. I am more than delighted to have been a part for this fantastic project!

The book contains over 100 Performers shot in their own homes and alongside their personal items. It is a fascinating insight into fellow performers lives and personality's! I LOVE looking at other peoples homes and collections etc. so this book is a dream for me to read!

You can get your copy here: http://thedomesticburlesque.com/buy.htm

Below you can see my spread and shots of my home that feature though out the book. I have also added a couple of my personal favorite portraits of others too!

HALLOWEEN IN PARIS!

Yesterday I flew to Paris to perform at "Burlesque-O-Ween" my 7th and final Halloween show this year!! Phew! It was a bit of a stress the night before I flew though as I was informed my flight was cancelled due to the Air France strikes that are going on right now, but after only....5 phone calls I was put on a later flight that same afternoon!

When I arrived I made my way straight to the venue for the show, which was a super cute little studio theater near Belleville.

Poster Girl!
I was performing alongside Miss Anne Thropy, Lexi Sexx, Charly Vodoo, Murena Pink, Pomme D'Amour and Mademoiselle Loison and it was a really fun show and a perfect way to celebrate Halloween! We then partied into the wee small hours!

This morning I went for brunch with my hostess the lovely Emilie before I headed off to the airport. I was staying at her lovely apartment in BellevilleThe legend is that Edith Piaf was born on a cold winter day of December 1915 on the pavement of 72 of rue Belleville in the heart of the working class immigrant neighborhood. I was staying just a few doors down!

We had coffee at the super cool "Aux Folie's Bellville" cafe and food at "Le Royal Bellville".

At the airport I treated myself to a caramel and sea salt Macaron from "Laduree" while I waited! What a lovely Halloween! I had to overcome a "Trick" but once I was there it was all "Treats"! Till next year.....
