DEADLY IS THE FEMALE

Thought I would share some of the final results of the shoot that I did with Miss Rain a couple of weeks ago!
We worked on both a creative high fashion look (which I shared a little preview of) with the help of Miss Moo (Make Up) and Ben Adams (Hair) and we also shot some clothing for: www.deadlyisthefemale.com.
Enjoy!

WET SPOT!

I had a cracking time at The Wet Spot in Leeds last night! It's one of my fave shows to perform at! It was an amazing line up and great to spend some time with old friends! Always a very lively crowd too!

Only downsides were, falling off a cinema style flip seat backstage, noisy drunk teenagers at 4am in the hotel room next door (Fancy nearly tore the wall down, I wish she had!), the clocks going forward and train delays all the way home from Leeds!

Time for a relaxing night with my man I think!

J'adore Paris & Zurich!

I returned home on Tuesday night after my awesome trip to Paris and Zurich! It is shows like these that really make me love my job! I am so grateful to meet such lovely people and see the world. Here is a little photo diary of my trip!

After arriving in Paris on Friday night I enjoyed a meal with my host Mathilde, Pinkie Special & Elise and an early night! On Saturday morning I taught my fandance workshop in a lovely dance studio to an amazing group of girls who were super fast learners! After the workshop we wandered around some super cheap vintage shops and I spent hours digging for bargains! That evening Pinkie Special cooked a feast and we were introduced to the film "Peau d'Âne" (Donkey Skin) which was def a cultural experience!

On Sunday morning I got up early to visit the stunningly beautiful Cemetery Pere-Lachaise. I could have wandered around it all day, it was so peaceful.

I then caught the metro across Paris for a photoshoot with the lovely Karin Bey for her newest exhibition project, to be announced soon!

After travelling back across Paris I arrived at the venue "La Fleche d'Or" for the evening's "La Glitter Fever VIII" show! The show was great fun & Wild!

On Monday morning I said my goodbyes and caught the train from Paris to Zurich in Switzerland! The journey was 4 1/2 hours long so I got alot of reading done and was very comfortable in my 1st Class seat! The views were spectacular on the way!

Once I arrived in Zurich I was taken to "The Plaza" for the "Oh la la Cherie" show, the venue was beautiful and very chic in style!

The show was a great success and was very professionally ran! I really enjoyed performing for such a fab audience and with a brilliant cast! We then drank Champagne until the wee small hours before retiring to our hotel.

A MONTH TO GO!

It's less than a month to got till "The Missy Malone & Friends Burlesque Revue" 16th April show at it's new bigger, stunning home - The Playhouse Theater in Cheltenham!

I am delighted to say both shows are well over half sold and heading towards ANOTHER sell out! So if you are planning on coming along please get your tickets soon to avoid disappointment!

Leyla Rose & I are also holding our full Burlesque Workshop in Cheltenham on the 14th and 15th of April. The 15th has already sold out and the 14th only has 3 places left on it! If anyone wants more info about the workshops or wants to book a place please vist: WORKSHOP INFO!

Today I packed my suitcase for my trip to Paris (Tomorrow-Sun) & Zurich (Mon-Tues) it's always a struggle to get all the costumes, workshop props and actual clothes to wear in there under 20KG!

I am doing a Fandance Workshop in Paris on Saturday and performing in Paris at "La Glitter Fever" on Sunday. I will then catch a train to Zurich to perform at the "Oh La La - Secret Follies Show" on Monday! I so looking forward to exploring Paris a bit more and seeing Zurich for the first time (outside of the airport)!

CASTING - LONDON

Today I was up bright & early for a casting in Shoreditch, East London. It was for a HUGE company's advertising campaign. I'm not going to say any more than that in case I jinx it, so fingers crossed!

When I was on my way to the casting I saw this wall art and really liked what it had to say! I also like that it had two tube trains on top of the building!

I couldn't get to my Lindy Hop class tonight so I am going to relax with a good book and a Krispy Kreme that I picked up at Paddington Station on my way home!

Photoshoots and future plans!

Over the last few weeks I have been involved in some super fun and creative photo shoots that I thought I might share!

Just last Friday (11th March) I had a lovely day shooting in Nottingham with the fab Miss Rain Photography (www.missrain.co.uk), Miss Moo Make Up (www.msmoomakeup.com) & Hair by Ben Adams. The main aim of the shoot was a creative high fashion style collaboration between the four of us.

I look forward to seeing the final edits but in the mean time, here is a sneeky behind the scenes shot of the amazing hair that Ben created:

The week before I had a fun afternoon recreating WWII bomber Pin Up "Nose Art" with Rich Parkes (http://www.wix.com/rhparkesphotography/portfolio).

Here is a preview of the sort of thing we were up to!

The Real Deal!

And finally today I have been working on my new business plan (which will be revealed soon!). It seems to be a very slow process and can feel like a real uphill struggle. I spent most of the day reading about business start up funding and support, there is so much info it is enough to make your head spin! So..... I just baked some Choc Chip cookies to take my mind off things.

They taste better than they look!

Straight in the deep end!

After a long debate with myself and many requests for me to start a blog I have decided to take the plunge and share my thoughts and experiences as a full time performer.

I hope to share the ups & downs, behind the scenes and sneaky previews!
Enjoy!
