LONDON TOWN

Last Friday I jumped a train to London to spend the weekend sightseeing with my parents and to perform at The Wam Bam Club on the Saturday night. I have never been to London with my parents and it was nice to explore with them and show them some of my favourite sights along the way!

My parents and Paddington!
We spent Friday afternoon and evening wandering around Soho. Ate crispy duck in China Town and went to see "Chicago" on the west end. It was a great show and I really enjoyed the dancing (much more than I thought I would!).

On Saturday we got up early and headed to The British Museum. I had never been so was keen to have a look! We only had a couple of hours so we targeted three areas, ancient Egypt, ancient Rome and Japan. It was a HUGE place and you could easily spend the whole day looking round!

We found this amusing for obvious reasons!

Endless Fun!

That evening we went for dinner at the lovely "10 Cases" in Covent Garden www.the10cases.co.uk.
I would highly recommend it! Beautiful food, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.

Later we headed over to The Cafe De Paris as I was performing at "The Wam Bam Club". I LOVE this venue and club night, I think it is the best in London to see cabaret, so I was delighted that my parents could come and see me perform on the west end in such a perfect venue! I was performing alongside, Lady Alex, Bunny Galore, Mat Ricardo, Go Go Harder, Marcos The Marvelous, Loretta Maine and Cabaret Rouge! Here are a couple of snaps from the show.

The next morning we headed our separate ways (Chetenham and Livingston) but I am so glad we got to have such a lovely weekend together and fit such alot in! I miss them so much and love spending time with them.

When I returned to Cheltenham that Sunday evening I taught my Fandance workshop to the cast of "Gypsy" soon to be at The Cheltenham Playhouse 21st-28th January. I am a huge fan of Gypsy Rose Lee so I was delighted to be able to contribute something to the show! I am also delighted to be the poster girl for the shows production! I can't wait to see the girls in action!!

RHYTHM RIOT 2011

Fresh off the plane from Milan (or not so fresh after 1 1/2 hours sleep!) on Friday morning I traveled straight from Gatwick to Rye for the wonderful Rhythm Riot Rock n Roll Weekender at Pontins Holiday Camp!

I was performing in the Lady Luck Room on the Saturday night alongside my good friend Cherry Shakewell! I performed at the Rhythm Riot back in 2009 and LOVED it, so it was a pleasure to be back again!

I had the most fun weekend and it was filled with laughter and silliness! I also got to practice my jiving, strolling and boppin! We relaxed on the beach, ate fish & chips, rummaged at the flea market and hitched a ride in a 57 Chevy (thanks to Nick Grant!) on the Vintage car cruise! And to top it all off I even got a go in the 1966 George Barris Batmobile!

Here is a little photo journal:
