FAREWELL LA REVE & HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR SKETCHY'S

Last Friday I had the enormous pleasure of performing at the last ever "La Reve" at Cafe De Paris in London. I  feel lucky to have had the privilege of performing at four of their shows and I was honoured to perform at their farewell event. I look forward to seeing what incarnation and new home it takes in the future!

The following day I headed to Birmingham to help celebrate "Dr Sketchy's Birmingham" 4th Birthday! The theme of the event was a Tribute to Tim Burton! As a huge fan of his work I had been looking forward to this for a LONG time! Each model posed as a character for one of his films. I chose to become Sweeny Todd for the day! It was so much fun and I loved seeing all the characters come to life! I was posing along side Sandy Sure as Beetlejuice, Frankie Lynn as Lydia Deetz, Kitten Von Mew as Corpse Bride and Suzie Sequin as Sally (Nightmare before Christmas). I even managed to do a few sketches myself which was a real treat!

Last week I headed to Leeds to shoot the fabulous www.20thcenturyfoxy.com 's "1950's" Party Ware Collection, just in time for the festive party season! We had a fabulous time recreating some iconic poses made famous by one of my favourite inspirations, Marilyn Monroe!

I also was treated to a fabulous hairdo by www.bethanyjanedavies.com , she is a master of vintage hair and make up, look her up!

Here is a sneaky peek behind the scenes:

SHOWS GALORE!! - THE GILDED MERKIN & THE WETSPOT

I have been so super busy (we have just bought our first house & there is allot of work to do!) that I have neglected my blog slightly! So enjoy this bumper edition!

On the 11th of November I had the pleasure of teaching my fandance workshop to a group of lovely ladies at the Glee Club in Nottingham, they were a pleasure to teach and a perfect way to spend the afternoon!

Later that evening I was performing at the glorious "Gilded Merkin" produced by my good friend and fab fellow performer Scarlett Daggers! It was a fantastic line up including Tricity Vogue, Sherry Trifle, Missy Macabre, Carrie Ann, Scarlett Daggers and The Great Aziz and not to mention the super lively crowd! I had a blast!

The following weekend Saturday 17th I headed to Leeds for firm favourite "The Wetspot". I also had my first private one to one "Act Doctor" session with a lovely fellow performer and really looking forward to seeing some of the ideas we bounced around appear in her acts in the future!

The Wetspot was a storming sell out as usual and it was a typically stellar line up including Millie Dollar, Cherry Shakewell, Carrie Ann, Mia Merode and Mr B Gentleman Rhymer.

On Saturday I made the long trek to Sunderland for the Coquette Collective's "Hell Fire Burlesque". It is a wonderful super fun show to perform at and the collective had a real family feel backstage! I was looked after very well and was so happy to be involved. Here are some lovely live shots from Paul Wright Photography

As I was full of the cold and not feeling my best, I would like to extend a special Thank You to all the people that really looked after me at these events. You are all stars and I hope I didn't give you my lurgy....
