TRICK OR TREAT

So it's that time of year again (my favourite time)! Halloween! As it falls midweek this year I am at home relaxing by Pumpkin light! Here is our Pumpkin this year, Dave & I designed it together but it was the first one that I have carved fully by myself! I'm quite proud of him!

I also wanted to blog about a fantastic company called "Vintage Vi" - www.vintagevi.co.uk . They specialise in beautiful custom cameo jewelry designed to your specifications! They also have a lovely in house range to choose from too. When Vi got in touch and asked if I would like to choose one I was delighted but could not decide between three of my favourite muses to be in my cameo, so I left it to her to surprise me with which one she chose!

When my beautiful "Bride of Frankenstein" arrived just in time for Halloween I was over the moon! I would highly recommend her lovely craftsmanship to anyone and what a beautiful gift they would make! Huge Thanks again to Vi!

Also here is a little selection of Halloween-y stuff that I saw and liked this year! Enjoy!

Trick or Treat? Sadly I defiantly received a trick this year...

BURLESKA BASTARDER

Today I was delighted to receive my copy of "Burleska Bastarder" in the post today all the way from Sweden! It is a beautifully designed coffee table book documenting the history of the wonderful and inspiring "Hootchy Kootchy Club" in Stockholm (please note the book is written in Swedish!). I had the immense pleasure of performing for them back in 2007 alongside Leyla Rose. It is still one of my favourite burlesque experiences to date.

I am so proud to be included in this beautiful and important piece of Burlesque history.  Huge love and thanks to Karin!

THE WITCHING WEEKEND!

Just catching up after a busy weekend of Halloween shows! I am always super busy this time of year and it is so much fun to get all dressed up and see the audience make such good efforts with their costumes too!

My first show was Friday in Birmingham at the lovely "Opulence" at the Annexe. It is a super swish dinner show (5 courses!!) and the food looked amazing! I was performing alongside the show's producer the stunning Danny DeMilo as well as Em Brulee, Sukki Singapora and Ivy Wilde!

On Saturday I trekked up to Hebden Bridge for "The Frou Frou Club" in the super cute "Little Theatre"! It was a very lovely slick show (run by the wonderful Lady Wildflower) and I was performing alongside Roxy Reveals, Emerald Ace, Liberty Belle, Peter Antoniou and the Whitechapel Wenches!! It was also a pleasure to perform on their 1st Birthday!

MISSY MALONE & FRIENDS BURLESQUE REVUE - THE REGAL CINEMA!

On Saturday The Missy Malone & Friends Burlesque Revue descended on Evesham for another storming SELL OUT show!! We had a WONDERFUL time! The line up included very special guest Kitten De Ville all the way from the USA! Guest host Asher Treleaven from Australia! and the cream of the British crop Vicky Butterfly, Cherry Shakewell, The Bee's Knees and little old me!

The venue was one of the most beautiful I have had the pleasure of bringing the show to "The Regal Cinema" in Evesham, recently restored to it's full 1920's glory!

On Sunday I travelled home and feeling a little under the weather I enjoyed an evening on the sofa reading!

The start of this week has been highly stressful and involved a lot of planning and organising for my touring show www.missymaloneandfriends.com its tough work being a producer!!

But I was treated to a lovely day out in Tewksbury yesterday by my lovely man! We went for lunch and rummaged in the charity shops! Here are some of my finds:

October is my favourite time of year and I am enjoying seeing the build up to Halloween and all the monsters and ghouls making appearances all over!

GOTHENBURG.....AND LOST LUGGAGE!

Last Saturday I hot footed it over to beautiful Gothenburg in Sweden to perform at the wonderful "Tip the Velvet" - www.tipthevelvet.se

My baby faced passport photo - Age 16
Unfortunately when I arrived I was faced with every performers worst nightmare......lost luggage! My suitcase (with all my costumes and props) had missed its connection in Frankfurt!

With the assurance that it would be arriving on the 11.30pm flight I headed off to the venue and started sewing and gathering donated pieces of costume from the other lovely performers to make a Plan B!

The show was already halfway through when my suitcase finally arrived at the venue (with huge thanks to Marlene for collecting it from the airport for me!!) and the day was saved! I have never been happier to see that suitcase...

Here are some lovely live shots from the show by Patrik Petroffhttp://elumbis.deviantart.com/

The next day I enjoyed some vintage shopping and awesome felafel with my lovely host and producer of the show Jenny (Swedish Siren) before I caught my flights home!
